About the educational institution:

KSU is the first university of the Kursk region – it was established as the Kursk State Pedagogical Institute in 1934, although its prehistory begins at the end of the XVIII century. Much later, the university became the first university in the region, and in 2003 it completely changed the status of a narrow–profile pedagogical university and became the first classical university in the Kursk region, receiving today's name - Kursk State University.
